BBQ Cruise (October 13, 2005)
| As a special recognition to all the drivers and staff at Co-op Cabs the board of directors held a special BBQ Cruise appreciation day.Over 200 drivers and staff boarded the sailing vessel "The Empire Sandy". Sunday August 28th was a special day at Toronto's Harbourfront.Co-op drivers and their families spent a delightful afternoon cruising Humber Bay and the Toronto Harbour. Fortunately the weather was sunny and breezy perfect sailing weather. The Empire Sandy staff did a wonderful job in feeding all the hungry participants and generally added to the positive experience of being on the lake. | The Empire Sandy is a very stable and safe schooner. Director and Vice President Sam Bitterman is giving a special look at the rigging. Sam and his wife are certianly enjoying the cruise. | | Drivers and staff with their families are enjoying themselves.The beautiful blue skies added to the enjoyment of the day. Along wit the excellent food which was served we had our own entertainement. Mr.Naki Bilgrami a co-op driver and shareholder is also known within the Toronto East Indian community as a popular singer. Naki entertained the crowds with his renditions of popular Bollywood songs. |
